Dr Nicole Organ was educated at Flinders University of South Australia, gaining a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree in 1996. She completed her internship at Flinders Medical Centre.
Dr Organ then transferred to the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane for her General Surgery training, followed by tenures at Toowoomba and Redcliff Hospitals, Queensland. Her vascular surgery training started at Wellington Hospital, New Zealand, followed by time at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals, Brisbane. Dr Organ qualified for her FRACS Vascular Surgery in 2006.
Dr Organ was previously a Locum Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
Dr Organ was appointed at John Hunter Hospital in 2007 as Staff Specialist, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. She became a senior staff specialist Director of vascular surgery in 2013. She was the supervisor of the Vascular trainee from 2010 to 2013. She then worked as the Director of Vascular Surgery from 2013 until 2018.
Dr Organ has worked as the Deputy Director of Surgery at John Hunter hospital since 2015.
